If that doesn't help then try using a different host/port:
Port 119, 23, 1818 or 8080 at:
news.astraweb.com
eu.news.astraweb.com
us.news.astraweb.com
Port 443 or 563 at:
ssl.astraweb.com
ssl-eu.astraweb.com
ssl-us.astraweb.com
(select Encrypted Server Connection/SSL)
Max connections should be set at 15-20.
You could also try using Newsleecher instead of SABnzbd.

Turned off firewalls, disconnected router, tried all the ports, even switched to newsleecher. All I get is an error message as follows:
Error occured
Unable to logon. Server response:Unable to connect (Error 10061-"Connection refused")
I am at a loss. I followed all the instructions step by step and I have gotten nowhere. I feel cheated, although I really know I am doing something wrong.
