Bonds are set at a certain amount in relation to the defendent's financial sitaution so that he/she will not consider taking flight and will instead show back up for court. Zimmerman should not have been left in a position in which he was out of jail and with all that donated PayPal money. That made him more of a flight risk and defeated the supposed function of setting a bond amount. He may get another bond hearing in a couple weeks, in which case the judge would set a new, higher number that also considers the PayPal donations to Zimmerman.

The prosecution has a recording from a phone conversation George (in jail at the time prior to the bond hearing) had with his wife about that money. This doesn't change how I view the facts of the case, but this certainly wasn't the best of moves by George and his wife.
If your hard in his corner you could even argue he wasnt smart enough to kee the easy story together - how would he lie about the big one?

Just another can't hang on every detail development in my book.
