I really think NASCAR was looking at the fact that the pole winner hasnt won in forever Joey Lagano was sitting first for the restart . then they know most fan dont like fuel milage races, so i think they ran the laps to make sure the field had enough gas to make it.
if Jr stays out and restarts 3rd he wins the race hands down , he had passed Joey and Mark all day with out problem. Steve made the smart call and usualy it would work if NASCAR hadnt decided to keep it from being a fuel milage race .

That is the only reason Jr didnt win sunday and NASCAR should really be ashamed of them selfes , if Jimmy Johnson would have run as well as Dale Jr all day and been in the same spot you can bet NASCAR only runs 2 caution laps not 6
but i have a feeling Dale jr streak will end At Michigan this weekend on the 4 year aniversery of his last win . 88 to victory lane !!!

Wait, I thought the Nascar conspiracy was to get Jr. to win as much as possible. Now we're saying that preventing a mileage race is more important than getting Jr. to win?

There needs to be a chart somewhere of the Nascar conspiracy priorities. I can't keep them straight anymore.
