Yeah. I do. Too many factors for him to face serious time. His mom owns the car. Other people allegedly drive the car. No priors. His consent to the search can be used as an indicator by a decent lawyer that he was unaware of the gun's presence. Losing his scholarship will be seen as a punishment. I doubt the AG will want to try to make a name for himself on this one, so he just might be willing to accept a plea that includes a diversion program in lieu of incarceration along with probation/community service. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty familiar with how things tend to go in Athens...
