I'm glad we won that game vs Philly boys but every time I see a replay of Sheldon Brown knocking Reggie Bush in the 1st quarter, I still cringe up because it looked like Brown totally decapitated Bush in one big colossal hit. But hey Reggie was a soldier and got up on his own power and was able to walk off after a few minutes.

Yeah, the play where he flat out ran over Sean Considine has to be one of my favorite Deuce plays of all time:worthy:.

My favorite of all time!

observations:

1. our run d really sucked. Westbrook beasted it.
2. our pass d really wasnt that hot either. Josh Bullocks missed some interceptions. Fred Thomas was burned all game long.
3. we had pass rush. this seems to be the key to making our D work. Grant and smith looked pretty good. This plus Garcia being the QB instead of Mcnabb gave us some opportunities.
4. We had a run game obviously. We were able to run down the defense with Deuce and bush was a brand new threat. I think PT, Bush and some of the backups may be a factor now that Deuce is gone. Heath Evans should contribute as well.
5. Saints committed some potentially costly turnovers and mistakes. they definitely werent a polished team even then. We really need to improve that.
6. The defense came through when it counted. That hasnt happened this last couple seasons.

overall, I honestly think our team can be as good or better this year. I dont see anything besides pass rush and run game that was any better than the last couple seasons. I think with Gregg's D scheme and PT playing with a chip on his shoulder and Shockey being healthy, we might see some fireworks this season. We have better recieving corps, more talent on D, no Bullocks, a capable set of defensive backs, and Vilma in the middle. If we can get the run game going on top of that we are playoff bound and then some.

quick few things...completely forgot about the punt job by weatherford, Pierre does have huge shoes to fill, and Fred toast thomas or Josh "Look a Football" Bullocks are no longer in our backfield, Reggie Bush even in the playoffs as a rookie did not get the horsecollar/facemask call when running the ball....another thing lol Freddy Toast could have saved much face if he got that int at the end...the best thing that might go unnoticed--->Andy Reid in the press conference you can hear the fans in the dome...luv dem who dats!
