The Eagles advance and meet New Orleans in a rematch game. In the regular season matchup, Joe Horn had his best game of the season. The Saints showed their offensive prowess by chewing up most of the 4th quarter on one drive to close with a game winning FG. What will be the key to beating the Eagles again?

First of all we must atleast contain Westbrook and then get pressure on Garcia. On offense we must protect the ball.

1) Stop Westbrook and Buckhalter
2) Pressure Garcia (staying in lanes)
3) No home runs to Brown (like last game) or Stallworth

1. Win the turnover battle...take a few away!
2. Keep Garcia inside...he seems to do well with those "dump off" passes when he gets to the outside.
3. Contain Westbrook.
4. Beware of Stallworth. He's going up against his old team, and he'll want to show that we made a mistake trading him.
5. Ball control. Get some drives going like the 4th quarter drive we had in the reg. season Eagles game.

run Duece right at them, wear them down.
Long time consuming drives. Then air it out to the WR's and Bush.
Score, Score, Score, and stop them from Scoring.

The key to victory in the most important game in team's history is like no other... dont turn the ball over!!!! Who Dat?!!! My very first thought exactly! With our offense clicking, the defense playing well and the crowd into the game, with no turnovers, it will be a rout! Game, set and match.

Come out with a score on the opening drive. Get up on them and dont let up. I think Sean will out coach them like he did with the Cowgirls. This one is big and I think Sean is thinking big.

GO BIG OR GO HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

other........take advantage of the eagles aggressiveness, using double moves and misdirection. Also run the ball straight at them. (Tiki had his best runs up the gut.)
The Eagles turned thier season around defensively by blitzing more.......make them regret that.

More drives like the one we saw at the end of the last Eagles game. That drive was truly a thing of beauty.

get ahead early and make Garcia throw often. this will help take westbrook out of the game. then we can push and make garcia turn the ball over. all we need is one more possession then them to win.

First of all I and alot of other Saints fans think that our Achilles Hill is Fred Thomas. I know the rest of the league know this and they will pick on him. I think the safety should always help Fred over the top. I have no problem with our offense, but I do think that they will pay close attention to that latteral pass to Reggie Bush and they will be ready to intercept that ball and take it all the way. So, Saints please be careful and win this for us PLEASEEEEEE!!!!!!

I believe they are ready this year. One game at a time. Was wondering whether I'd see our Saints play in a Super Bowl before my earlthly sojurnment was over. Now I'm believing it will be this year!!!!!!!!!!

I'm ready to see the "Gulf Coast Offense," unleashed in the playoffs!!!!!

well, I agree with what FalconHater said above:

1. Win the turnover battle
2. Keep Garcia inside...and I'll add that Garcia "feeds" off the confidence of scrambling & hitting defenders as opposed to most QB's who dive to the turf as soon as a defender is near them....it gives Garcia a tough-guy confidence that we need to delete.
3. Contain Westbrook.
4. Beware of Stallworth....good point FalconHater, lets just hope he plays in the Dome the same way he ALWAYS played here----by dropping the ball, but we gotta keep that revenge factor in mind, he'd LOVE to show that we couldn't utilize him as Andy Reed has.
5. Ball control..... I think we want Payton to use the type of stuff he did to cowpokes.... speed weapons every which way then LOTs of long drives with power of Deuce then all the sudden, boom, dump off pass to rarely used fullbacks/etc.

Last thing I'll add is that the Eagles have balance & thus we CANNOT let them have balance ball control with Westbrook opening up play-action for Garcia.

And I think Payton, from schools of Parcells & Belichick, knows that post-season is all about toughness & the way a team's confidence is built...this is a game he understands BUT Andy Reed is a chessmaster-- so it's gonna be a war unless we get some lucky turnovers.

But we have more weapons depending on Colston's leg/ankle & Deuce's ability to pound it & keep their offense off the field...that'll be key.
