View Full Version : Say a little something to St. Frank's son
Loose Cannon 01-04-2007, 11:35 AM I'm close to having everything together to send out to Harris and Frank's mom.
It was suggested that we send some messages from all of his friends here to Harris. I figure the best way to compile them is just in a thread.
So everyone say a little something about Frank, something you remember about him, something you guys shared, etc. Then I'm going to compile them all and include them in the package that I send him with the framed authentic St. Frank jersey, and the replica matching jersey for Harris.
Quick update.. After the framing, the check for Frank's mother is going to be about $900-$1000, depending on shipping costs for the framed jersey. It's pretty big and needs to be packed fragile (got real glass).
I should have everything ready to ship within a week or so.
504 Girl 01-04-2007, 11:47 AM Since I was out of town when he passed and missed the memo, would you give me the scoop? Thanks.
Frank always made me laugh, even when I didn't feel up to it. He was a very smart, charismatic guy, and is really missed.
johnnyd 01-04-2007, 12:01 PM Frank was probably the most humble person I knew. We all knew about his condition but he never was a victim. He was a fighter to the end and a down right great guy.

kanona29 01-04-2007, 01:26 PM Frank was a kind man with a great sense of humor. I know he must have struggled with the pain he had to endure, but one could never tell. He always presented a pleasant demeanor here on sr.com.
Frank would sometimes contact me just to see if I was okay and pass a compliment my way. We both shared a love for the movie "Chronicles of Narnia" and I believe that is when we started a kindredship. We also used to often joke about his little chocolate pudding fiasco.
I wish his family much healing in this hard time. And I know that Harris will turn out to be a wonderful young man simply because his father was...May peace be upon you all.

I couldn't possibly put it any more succinctly than this.
I'd only add that I admired his ability to keep a positive - even humorous - outlook on things, no matter what the situation.
covingtondog 01-04-2007, 01:43 PM Frank was one of the coolest guys I know.
primadox 01-04-2007, 02:13 PM Harris:
I never got to meet your dad face-to-face, but every time I would "talk" with him at saintsreport, he was always happy and never seemed sad about anything, even when he was very sick. He always made other people feel better if they were having a bad day. That was a special gift your dad had, and I just know that you'll grow up with that same special gift too...that's one way you dad will always be with you.

SeminoleMarine 01-04-2007, 02:35 PM Frank was a true friend. Although we never met in person, we talked here and on the phone. He was always there to help when I had a problem with my computer and got me out of a major jam one weekend. He always had a joke or a laugh for everyone and everything. He is truly missed. Harris, always know that your father was as cool as they come. Never had a bad word for anyone and never let his condition get in the way of having fun or sharing laughter.
SaintKenn 01-04-2007, 02:39 PM Frank and I never really had any personal correspondence, but for a man to be so loved and respected by so many people over a message board speak loudly. Be proud of your Father because he was truly a special man.
Pasty 01-04-2007, 03:08 PM Frank was a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. He was one of the real good guys you meet in life, and really had the right sense of priorities. I am honored to have made his acquaintance.
Be proud of your father.
P-town balla 01-05-2007, 03:43 AM Frank was just a genuinely good, down-to-earth guy who always had something nice to say.

UncleTrvlingJim 01-05-2007, 03:57 PM St. Frank was one of the funniest guys I've "met". He didn't take himself seriously, but also had self-respect. He could laugh at the life's foibles, but still love life.
RiverCitySaint 01-06-2007, 05:18 PM Harris,
Your Dad was one of the greatest people I ever had the pleasure of knowing. Despite his numerous health problems he was always there for me when I was going through a very rough time in my life.
In fact that last time he was in the hospital there in Houston he called just to check upon me. That was the very last time I spoke to him on the phone. Because of that last conversation he and I had I made some serious life-changing decisions. One of which was to quit smoking. That little endeavor of mine is dedicated to him and his memory.
I will always remember him for his weird sense of humor, love of the Saints, and friendship. He is badly missed here on SaintsReport.com and by his friends and family.
Take care Harris and never forget who your Dad IS : a wonderful person.

DavidM 04-17-2007, 05:32 PM Frank crossed my mind recently and I realized I had missed how this turned out. Searched and didn't find a more recent thread.
Eeyore 04-17-2007, 05:35 PM I re-read this thread a few weeks ago for the same reason.
LC went to Vegas and blew all the money on 32 on roulette.
RebSaint 04-17-2007, 05:58 PM I'm really sad that I never got to meet him in person.
