If you had Rita as a guest, here is what I would ask. Feel free to chime in all.

1.How has your life changed in the past few years.
2. How much actual authority do you have with the Saints.
3. With the 06' season, what consideration is given to marketing the team nationally?

4. When Paul Tags came to New Orleans;
a. What was his view of New Orleans as a market?
b. Did he bring a statement from the President?
c. View of the other owners

5. Front Office thoughts on the Fans stepping up to the plate...
6. Arnold Fielfow as a Politician?
7. The Field Product?
8. Playoffs
9. The Future
10. You got a boyfriend?

OK.. Dig this...

Pre-Katrina. Saints football and Benson threatens state and stadium issue...

Post-katrina

President and Paul Tags vow to rebuild... Any attempt of relocation to texas is only for emergency purposes, and nfl owners hate 3 texas teams..

Tags goes down to New Orleans... Tells Benson... You're gonna be quiet, fire those BS coaches you got, build a respectable team and help rebuild the Gulf South.. The Nation's watching... Benson is retiring and I think that Rita is running the team under the NFL guidence.

While the fans stepped up to the plate again.

I loathe Benson but for some reason I can only see Rita being worse -- although not for the same reasons. Then again, it doesn't take too much mental acumen to be an owner so long as you are smart enough to hire qualified people (which the league is usually happy to point you towards) and... the harder part: stay out of their way.

I've heard others predicting that "things will be worse" under Rita as well, and I just don't understand why.

She doesn't have as many ties to the area but she sees dollar signs in New Orleans considering how the community has taken to this team after Katrina. I went to that first BR game last year, it seemed to me they wanted to move that team then.

Obviously this is all just my opinion but I'm wary of a someone so young (she's what late 20's?) taking over a team... basically being handed a half billion dollar asset. I guess she has learned something the half dozen or so years she worked for the team after graduating from college but it's a far cry from being a self-made businessman/woman.

Also, being relatively young, you can never tell how 'deep' her 'roots' go -- she could just decide to up and move for the glamor of Los Angeles or whatever. Even Benson himself in his 80's was so worried about his financial well being (as if he was at any risk of landing in the poor house) that he seriously considered moving the team.

Football Operations wise you can never forget that while most owners are hands-off, at some point they are the ultimate authority when things aren't going well. Loomis has slowly evolved into a good general manager but you might not always be able to rely on him. There might come a time when he needs to be replaced or, at least, a time when it should be practically considered. How does Rita respond? Aggressively to avoid the same malaise suffered at the tail end of the Mora and Haslett regimes? Or will she have a quick hook?

What experience will she have to fall back upon other than what Benson has taught her and the few years she has spent playing Executive Vice President in Charge of Good Times or whatever he position is?
