Greg Olsen is the most recent in a line of solid tight ends from the University of Miami, and he wants to continue a legacy of success

Jimmy Smith / N.O. Times-Picayune

Already armed with his college degree and coming off a season during which the University of Miami football program reached a nadir -- see much publicized brawl against Florida International -- tight end Greg Olsen decided to take a leap of faith.

His gamble wasn't much of a stretch.

He has a football pedigree. His brother, Christian, was a quarterback who signed with Notre Dame then transferred to Virginia, and father Chris is a high school head coach.

And Olsen comes from a long line of Miami tight ends who have made names for themselves professionally: Bubba Franks (Green Bay), Kellen Winslow Jr. (Cleveland) and Jeremy Shockey (New York Giants). Full Story – Picayune
