Every year in the Sean Payton-era in New Orleans, the Saints find a free agent or free agents that contribute and make an impact on the squad.
Last preseason, we saw the emergence of wide receiver/return specialist Joe Morgan from Walsh College.
Before Morgan’s preseason knee injury, the speedster made his presence felt with his ability to jet from opposing defenders on deep routes and also to make people miss in returning punts and kickoffs.
Morgan has had his share of ups and downs during this training camp, but there is no questioning his ability to change a game instantly due to his big-play skills. In the first three preseason games, Morgan has caught seven passes for 110 yards and a score, while averaging 8.4 yards returning punts and returned a kickoff for 29 yards.
