New year, different Saints: New Orleans looking to add depth, not stars at NFL Draft

What a difference a year can make.
Last year at this time, the New Orleans Saints were on the eve of a landmark NFL Draft, sitting in an unsuspecting catbird seat.
Owning the second pick in the Draft thanks to an abysmal 2005 season that saw everything from practices in Texas to home games in New York, the Saints knew they'd get a good player, a franchise player even.
What they didn't know was that while the New Orleans staff was pouring over contingencies and mapping out draft strategies accounting for every possible scenario, that Houston General Manager Charlie Casserly was busy signing the deal that would reshape the Saints franchise for years to come.
