Full Story – New Orleans Saints.Com

For Immediate Release: July 3, 2012

New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club has agreed to terms with sixth-round draft choice G Andrew Tiller on a four-year contract.

Tiller, 23, was selected by the Saints in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft with the 179th pick overall. The 6-foot-5 inch, 334-pound guard lettered for three years at Syracuse under former Saints Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach Doug Marrone. He appeared in 35 games with 28 starts at right guard for a resurgent Orangemen program. In 2011, his redshirt senior year, he started all 12 games and was an All-Big East First-Team selection. The Central, Islip, N.Y. native became a full-time starter in 2010. He blocked for a 1,000-yard rusher in both of his seasons as a starter. Tiller graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Rhetorical Studies.
