As far as the RB situation goes, this is how I see it playing out.

2013 - Hill gets 50% of the carries with Blue and Hilliard getting second and third reps. Copeland will get a fair amount of touches (for a fullback) and Magee will get the scraps.

Blue graduates and Hill enters the draft early. Hilliard comes back for his senior year sitting on top of the depth chart with Fournette and another RB coming in with him, plus a RB/FB. One of the more interesting things we have yet to see is who Miles plans on putting at FB after Copeland leaves. Are we going to see a more athletic type of FB who can be used in the offense more or the typical LSU fullback who just blasts away at the opponent.

2014 - Hilliard and Fournette get 70% of the snaps at RB with Magee getting more playing time and used as a change of pace back.

2015 - Fournette is entrenched as the premiere RB at LSU and freshman Nick Brossette is right behind him pushing him to continue to work harder.

That would be our Ideal scenerio. Lets just hope Hill and Blue don't get hurt or nicked up. If Hilliard doesn't get a lot of snaps this season there is a really good chance he'd come back to get a higher draft ranking as our starter.

It would be great to work in Hilliard as a FB/HB in 2 back sets, as insurance for both positions.

You have to think the staff has talked with these guys and has some idea who is leaving and who is not. Ford and Ware left early and I do not know that either of them will go very high in the draft. I suppose they decided that they would end up behind Hill this year is they stayed.

I kind of doubt Hilliard would start if he came back. If he does start it might nor be for long if Fournette chooses LSU. Hill ended up starting as a true freshman over a stable of good backs.

My guess is Hilliard does come back and that LSU takes two other backs this year along with Fournette so that they will have five on roster. If they only take two do not be surprised to see someone move to running back. I would love to see a change of pace back like Brazil with his world class speed, a bigger Trindon Holliday type guy.

I want Brazil on offense, don't care where honestly. RB sounds fine with me.

LSU is going to take one qb in this class and some of Miles recent comments have give clues to what type qb it will be.

I saw one of his tweets during the superbowl about how effective he thought Kapernik was with his mobility. I think Miles, like most everyone else, saw how well mobile qb's played last year (and how ineffective Mett was at times under pressure).

LSU is on a half dozen qbs right now from which they will pick one. Five of the six are dual purpose, that is, qbs who can run and throw.

Jeremy Jones, a tall athletic qb from Texas, was quated as saying he met with Miles at junior day and Miles likes him because he wants someone who can run.

That plays into my theory that going into the spring Jennings may have an advantage over Rettig. That is not to say Rettig does not have a chance to move up on the chart. I just think Miles want to have an offense where they can run some read option which so many defenses, college and pro alike, are having trouble defending.

It would benefit LSU's running backs as well. When Mett goes to hand off the end crashes on the back most every time. In the read option the end has to pay more attention to the qb thus giving the defense one less guy to close on the back. LSU ran the option a few times with Mett, but no one on the defense or in the stadium thought he would keep it.

The Lousiana kids LSU might offer include Brandon Harris and Dononvan Isom, both dual purpose. Harris is the one generating the most buzz. I think it will be one of the out of state guys in the end. Wiht LSU only taking one they will probably have a few to pick from.

LSU gets verbal from Edna Karr 2014 linebacker Donnie Alexander.

This one is a surprise to me, never heard of him before today. He does not seem to be particulaly big or fast and I have not seen him at or near the top of any recruiting lists.

LSU is recruiting Speedy Noil and Gerald Willis from Edna Karr as well but with all the top recritis available for next year I would not think they would offer Alexander just to get an in for the other two.

He might be one of these under the radar guys the staff saw at a junior day or something and just loved. Supposedly looks great on film, a good kid and a hard tackler. Had not seen any chatter about him before his commit which is unusual.

Rumors from multiple sources Ed Paris may commit tomorrow. Some services have him as top recruit in Texas. Sounds like he is all LSU.

LSU is going to cherry-pick a few top recruits early and then top that wall around the state with razor wire...

Paris is all LSU. The earlier he commits the better for our class but he can take his time if he wants. Sounds like other colleges have pretty much given up on him because they know LSU is where he wants to go. I love it.

Not worried about Fournette. I don't see how he's not in purple and gold when it's all said and done.

If Cameron Robinson ends up at Bama that will urk me to no end though.

Expecting Tony Brown to follow suit fairly soon.

Also, Shea Dixon reporting that Paris will be an early enrollee next January.

Chief absolutely loves this guy. He seems undersized to me but Moffitt will hang some meat on him I'm sure.
