The guy isnt loyal.
He has an 18 million dollar buyout. A buyout he asked to be put in his contract.

Les Miles is a winner, and Bobby Petrino is a loser. That's just an indisputable natural fact.

He quit when things got difficult in Atlanta, if it were up to him, he would have tucked his tail between his legs and ran out of Tiger Stadium in the 3rd quarter. You can see it in their eyes. You learn about people like this in war, and you dont trust them - its called Fight or Flight syndrome. Man up and fight, or collapse and beg for anti depression medication. Petrino is a ***** and a quitter. He isnt man enough to lead a football team. I'm suprised he is able to command the respect of anyone on that football team.

All of my kids played sports so I have been to scores of all types of games over the years. I also do the radio for the local high school team.

During that time I have seen lots of coaches run the score up, lots of coaches having the score run up on them and been through a hundred debates on the subject.

Some people have an it's terrible to run it up attitude, some have a it's up to you to stop them attitude and there is all in between. I have watched my kid's teams get the score run up on them and have watched when I think my coach is running up the score on the other team.

I have also seen any number of coach's handshakes turn into arguments. This is what I have learned from all that and practice as an announcer.

Never whine about having the score run up on you. Never. Even if the other team is running up the score, bite your lip, shake the guy's hand and try to beat him next year.

Even if you are justified in your belief the other coach was running up the score, whining about it never looks good. There are plenty of others who will whine about it for you. If the score is being run up on you, others will see it and draw their own conclusions as to whether the other team or coach was practicing good sportsmanship. You will gain no points with anyone complaining or whining about it. You will always look bad.

I do not think this was remotely a case of Miles running it up in this case. Even if it was, however, Petrino was never going to look good to his players or most fans of his team getting all whiny about it.

The smart thing for Petrino to do, if he has not done so already, is to call Les Miles up and apologize and admit he was mostly mad about losing and disappointed with the outcome.

Petrino's body language and actions are pretty much the most repulsive in all of sports. Besides the classless moves he has made throughout his career, just looking at his face makes you want to slap it. And the way he treats his own players is pretty repulsive as well.

I can't wait to beat them down next year at Akansas, funny thing is next years LSU team will be even better.

An interesting comment I just read on the Rivals.com site was something I never realized.

Hey Petrino...What about Ark vs Missouri St 51-7, Ark vs New Mexico 52-3, Ark vs Tennessee 49-7, Ark vs Mississippi State 44-17? Did any of those coaches tell you to F youself for running up the score? You are a bad sport and a sore loser....

Petrino is a brat. End of story.

....and Arkansas scored two 4th qtr TDS against Tennessee and New Mexico (with one of the two being a passing TD in both games).

Against Mississippi State he scored a TD at about 3:00 minutes left in the game when score was 37-10 (Miss State went on to score one more time).

And he's upset that LSU kicked a FG with over 5:00 left in the game.

What a joke!

well put.
He does have an aura of arrogance tinged with hypocrite that makes one want to haul off an kick his nads through his skull without even so much as a hello.
