If you're referring to snickeres (special?) starting in place of Ross, that's because Ross had an emergency apendectomy yesterday. He will be out of the line up about two weeks.

Tulane lost their 3b, SS and LF on Sunday to injury.

Garrett (3B) has a broken hand but others should be okay for rest of season.

LSU split the double header yesterday, but really had a chance to win both. Blew a 3-0 lead in the 6th. Big game today, may decide whether or not LSU gets a Top 8 seed.

The loss, combined with the doubleheader split between LSU and South Carolina puts the Wildcats a half-game behind South Carolina in the SEC Title race and in a three-way tie with Florida and LSU with the three clubs owning an 18-11 record.

This is coming down to the wire, folks!!!

SEC CHAMPS!!! LSU wins at least a share of the league title with 3-2 win over South Carolina in 10 innings.

Guess LSU decided they wanted to try to win this conference afterall this year. Super impressive win by the Tigers! Hope we can win the whole thing!

And our chances for the home Super Regional have seriously just improved! Geaux Tigers!!!!

Well MSU seems to be really putting it to KY at the moment. 8 to 2 with runner on first.

I'm not an expert with how everything lines up, but I think if Kentucky loses this game, then LSU definitely wins the regular season title as a result of holding the tie-breaker with Florida. And that's assuming Florida wins today, which they might not. Unfortunately they are playing Auburn, so they probably will.

Gosh, what the heck happened to Kentucky? They got destroyed today! They really fell apart down the stretch.

And how good is the SEC this year? Guess we'll really find out in postseason play. But LSU has an amazing chance to get to the CWS if they receive a Super Regional bid. We beat Florida at Florida, almost beat Kentucky at Kentucky, beat South Carolina at South Carolina. This team can play with just about anybody, but also can lose to just about anybody. Raph Rhymes is clearly going to have to lead this team into the playoffs as we have very few options outside of him that can pull up the slack if he slows down any. Gausman is BEAST, but can still only pitch so many of the innings. This is going to be a close one folks!

MSU and LSU should be a good game today. I know most are LSU fans on here but I am a MSU grad and fan myself. LSU has a better overall team but with our ace Stratton pitching today I think we have the advantage.

He out pitched your Ace earlier in the year but we still lost it in extra innings after he came out and LSU as decided to do a pitcher by committee approach this time around instead of putting the two ace pitchers against each other. I look at that as a mistake but MSU is playing for the change to host a regional and LSU already has that in the bag. LSU is probably more concerned with getting some experience for other pitchers than they are with winning this game which makes sense.

Yeah, I don't like the matchup of Stratton against a Nola short start followed by bullpen. I imagine they are just not comfortable starting Gausman since he just pitched on Friday. Our best hope is to get the pitch count up as early as possible to try to get into the bullpen. Today's going to be a tough one.

What's the deal with this "pod" format of the CUSA tournament? Do other conferences do this?
