Supposedly Notre Dame football has an on campus workout at 6am tomorrow including EE players... so if Gunner is indeed there I am sure everyone will know soon. Until then we can all sleep and go about our lives knowing that in a reasonable reality the decision of an 18 year old kid is not something that we will let consume our thoughts and our time.
Of course if he is not there everyone will still be consumed with questions until he shows up at one school or another, or says something, but why should he have to say something? Last I check he committed to LSU, he has not enrolled at either school or said he was retracting his commitment so as far as we should be concerned he is still going to be an LSU Tiger. I mean the rumors could be right for all I know, but if they are not why should he have to tell us ever couple weeks that they are wrong?

I mean how often do big recruits switch their commitment in the weeks heading in to NSD, this kind of thing simply does not happen.
There has to be something going on at LSU.
I mean first we had an underclassmen CB leave for the draft even though all he can look forward to is a top 10 pick and millions of dollars. The kid must really think our program is going down the tubes to make such a rash choice.
Then we had a pair of underclassmen, a WR and a DT, declare even though they are probably only going to go in the second round of the draft and make hundreds of thousands of dollars. That is unless they have a really good combine and go higher that is, they must be desperate to escape whatever mess is going on behind the scenes.
Then one of our coaches got a higher position at another school and there continues to be talk of a young WR buried on our depth chart transferring to that school to follow him. I mean we have a COACH jumping ship and a player THINKING about going somewhere to get more playing time... everyone is fleeing the sinking ship.
and a young man from our own state decided to go to a rival school where he could get immediate playing time and be with his girlfriend... he must know something we do not.
The list goes on and on, we lost a the commitment of a player that opened up his recruitment after we went after another player at his position... a position that is already heavily stocked, and we lost another commitment because one of his most important reasons for wanting to attend LSU is he wanted to enroll early on scholarship and we could not accommodate him.
All of this points to there being something horribly wrong with our Football program, I mean we are struggling to pull in a top 10 class, and we cannot even sign every 5 star athlete we offer a scholarship too.
LSU athletics as we know it is dying, and we cannot cut out the cancer because "it" has the highest winning percentage and SEC winning percentage of any coach to coach a full season for us since 1908... by a lot.

Yep.
As I said in other threads - Whatever happened, happened in the days leading up to the Championship game with Alabama. Something happened and it wasnt just Alabama beating LSU. There is more to the story and we are not getting the full story yet.

Just give him the initals, M.D.(for Maximum Distance) and the name Kicker. I mean why risk anything, all we need is our defense and a kicker than can hit from 80 yards or so... we would be unstoppable. I mean run the ball three times, run maximum clock between snaps to give defense rest, if a first down is reached repeat the process, and if not kick a field goal... defense forces a 3 and out offense repeats for more time off clock and 3 more points. Given the resistance of air at near sea level, and the maximum force a football can be struck with without rupturing it or breaking a foot, I wonder how far one could really kick the ball.

Our draft losses for underclassmen are normal for a talented team, which is why redshirts are mostly a waste for a good program... Gonzo taking a raise to take a higher position, normal ... player transferring for more PT, normal... committed player changing mind, a regular occurrence and of course, normal (sometimes you get them, sometimes you lose them)... player de-committing because another player was offered at his position and we may or may not have pulled his offer, normal... player de-committing because promised conditions were not met by our staff, unfortunately normal and not cool... all of these things happening in one offseason, normal.
By normal I do not mean every team has them happen every year... but these things do happen every year at this time, we are simply spoiled by the good run we have had. Hell half those occurrences are simply symptoms of having damn fine players that will go high in the draft, and more depth than playing time.

There is nothing more to the story. You are only torturing yourself. This kid has already shown he can change his mind.
Every player who left early is one of the top rated players at their position. Claiborne is the top CB and Brockers is the top DT. They would be dumb to not take their money.

So his mom got in his ear and told him Louisiana was to far away from Indiana, and that is what switched him.
He enrolled in classes today so he will be at notre Dame for a few years now. Oh well.
I have no problem with these kids switching choices. If college coaches can leave kids high and dry, the kids should have just as much a right. The coaches care for the kids, like a day trader cares for holding long term.

Tim Brando said it was official this morning take it for what it's worth.
I also heard he didn't even notify the LSU coaches. Again that is just a rumor I don't know if it's true or not but if true that was a **** move.

It was a roller coaster ride alright I just wonder how this kid will handle the pressure of playing in a game if he had this much trouble deciding where to go.

This is so depressing.
Guess we can't get too mad. He already did this to Indiana. Good luck to him.
This has been a nightmare couple of weeks with LSU. First Landon Collins, then the NC, now this. We deserve better than this.
