ok, got that out of the way - this is pretty cool
i hope the no-light thing isn't real - local high schools really need another field
but i do feel for the audubon residents - that street's been mangled forever and it's probably going to be finished just in time for construction to start

The tulanestadium.com website says the new stadium will have lights for night games.
But I don't feel for the Audubon residents. Who DOESN'T have mangled streets? And they should consider themselves lucky. There used to be an EIGHTY THOUSAND SEAT stadium near the same place.

Anyone got info on who they are?
I think this is incredible news for Tulane and the city of New Orleans. I really believe it will help them keep some talent in the city too. It's not just an upgrade fieldwise but overall facility gets upgraded.

another thread alluded to Benson and Malcom Glazier.

As for the speeches, I am not happy with my alma mater cribbing that stupid Atlanta Falcons slogan from last year. Every time I see one of those "rise up" posters in a bus stop I want to puke.
EDIT: Uh, at the 00:10 mark in the top video, I'm pretty sure that's an old pic of Tiger Stadium, not Tulane Stadium.

Why are all of the fake people in the suites of that simulation doing the "Heil Hitler" salute?

PS. I like the ramp/party deck in the corner end zone. It seems to be all the rage with stadiums nowadays, but I still like it.

and to answer your question: cutting paper and gluing it to other paper, riding tricycles, learning about leaves, stuff like that

They need to get some athletically friendly majors. Make sure the facilities are top notch. Hire great coaches.
Once LSU takes the cream of the crop in Louisiana, there are more than enough good players for Tulane to be competitive. Not on LSUs level, but those two schools aren't remotely the same thing. Tulane needs to be competitive at their own level and people will come and see them if they can sustain it.
