I love DirecTv. Saw it on the Big 10(11) Network.

There is no way Appalachian State should have even competed with Big Bad Michigan, but yet they block a 37 yard field goal as time expired that would have won the game for Michigan!!
Final
App State-34
Mich-32
WAY TO GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!

I think you may be right. They could go on to win every game and beat tOSU 80 - 0 and still not get there because they lost to an FCS (formerly 1-AA) school.

I doubt too that Michigan has any chance left of getting to the NC game, but it's sad that early losses are literally forgotten if no one wins out. For example, if Michigan wins impressively from hereon out and moves back up in the rankings, whoever loses the LSU/Florida game in October could drop below them, assuming Michigan can get itself into the top 10. Extreme example, I know, but it shows how unfair it is to have a late season loss against a legitimate team vs. an early loss against a nobody...it's all a matter of "what have you done for me lately". I so want a playoff system...

Well, if LSU does end up with one loss to, say, Florida, I don't think it would move them below Mich even if their records were similar because it's freaking Florida. App. State is no Florida.
