You see, my argument can never be supported now because this play caused us the game. Think about this scenario, Sean Payton calls the onside kick to start the second half of Superbowl 44. Colts recover, Peyton Manning takes the Colts down the short field for a touchdown. You think there'll be anyone who thinks the onside kick was the right call???? But it worked, now we were all praising Greg Williams for being gutsy and taking a chance. Maybe I went to far with genius but still, there will have been many people praising him for taking the chance and being aggressive.

Shanle was not on Davis in the last play. The Saints were playing zone at the wrong time. The should've been playing zone when they needed to keep all balls in front of them. Shanle was in front of Davis, and the ball was thrown behind him. He tried to close the gap, but was about 1 foot from the ball. Jenkins should've been moving up to get in front of the ball to prevent the TD, since all they needed to do was make one stop in the field of play.

Bradshaw said the same thing right after the game and I agree 100%.

There is no reason to be playing man coverage in a zone defense situation.

I like Gregg Williams, but maybe the Saints should consider JDR or Mike Nolan.

There is no way the DC job of the Saints is the most coveted job in the NFL because you literally can't win with the fan base. If I was a coach and had to read half the ignorant, clueless stuff I've seen posted here I'd be gone too.
I don't care if he gets the sack on Alex Smith. Im still yelling why are you blitzing!!! Especially when you got burnt on the previous drive. You make Alex smith beat you with his arm. Not play right into their hand. Are you kidding me

Bring pressure, get after the QB. Great. But don't let their best player continually beat you because you keep putting him in favorable matchups.
You're literally talking about the fastest player on their offense. ANd you're single covering him with a safety. Not even using a linebacker to bump him off the line.

Oh, and maybe after the Falcons game, learn to play coverage vs. a two-minute offense.

I'm not one to overreact but I do believe this needs to be the last game ever in a Saints uniform for Gregg Williams.

In 2007/2008, we wasted really good offenses only to watch leads disappear late and didn't make the playoffs because of it.

We got rid of the problem.

These past 2 seasons, a Super Bowl championship was awaiting us, and Gregg Williams was primarily to blame for both losses in the playoffs.

We had stopped 6+ drives prior to that one with the same kind of defense. If I'm a coach without the benefit of 20/20 hindsight I'd be doing the exact same thing I've been doing all game.

alex smith beat us on a last second drive. let that sink in alex ****ing smith beat us on a last second drive. what the hell was williams thinking those last couple drives? its so maddening he should have been playing zone and keeping everything in front of us. i would have been ok with the field and head to overtime but to give up that touchdown, i am literally sick. alex smith wow.

We did that almost the entire year and limited touchdowns. so he changes it, and we get burned on two drives. He needs to go. I would retire if I was Williams.

Get rid of GW? Malcolm jenkins is the worst starting free safety in the NFL????

Excuse me, but does anyone remember the days of josh bullocks, tebucky jones and gary gibbs??? You guys can revive the "read-and-react" show all by yourselves. I want no part of it.

GW stays. He just made a stupid, stupid mistake which by no means should cost him his job.

Watch the replay. Shanle was in man on Davis. He gave him too much cushion, tried to keep up an got burned as usual.

See I have no clue what you're talking about. Go back and rewatch the game but we stopped every unsuccessful drive by the blitz, it's right there for everyone to see.

We got burnt on the previous drive, and by burnt I mean lucky enough to let them score on a QB run that they've run maybe twice all year. If he didn't score there, Graham wouldn't have had a chance to score and they would have won much earlier.
