anyone ever successfully contacted a player?
How did you do it? I have some friends that own a restaurant/bar in Canton with an upstairs party room. I'd like to cook for some guys on the team during the HOF game week. I'm part of a competition BBQ team so they would definitely eat well. Not sure how to contact them. My wife works with a childhood friend of Lance Moore so maybe he could get in touch with Lance. I'm guessing the recievers would eat much less than say the O-Line.

Chris Ivory is pretty accessible on his facebook page, while he was injured we messaged back and forth a few times. I think he also has contact information listed for scheduling him at events.

During our 09 super bowl season I drunkenly messaged Jermon Bushrod, saying if we won the Super Bowl I'd buy him a round. After the SB he messaged me asking where his round was. He's good people. Still have those messages saved on my comp.

Twitter is a good way to get in touch with some of the players. I've actually had conversations with Joe Horn, Willie Roaf, and Jonathan Goodwin (before he left). You could always try that. If they feel the message is important enough and not just junk like they always get, they would probably message you back!! Good luck.

Back in the day I used to send football cards to the Saints organization to get signed. I would always send a SASE along with a marker for them to use. I remember getting cards back from Eric Allen, Renaldo Turbull, Wayne Martin, Irv Smith, Willie Roaf, and even Jim Mora among others. Jim Everett was really good about signing cards too. The only one who never returned anything that I remember was Alex Molden. I think I tried 3 separate years. Funny story about Roaf, I sent him a really nice rookie card. He kept that one, and then sent back an cheap autographed Score card in it's place.

Im sure its no help in contacting anyone, but my wife is a nurse and is very active with the Make a Wish foundation. They were doing an auction a few years back and I was able to get in touch with Brees through his foundation and was able to get a couple items signed by him for the auction. The coolest thing is he actually called me personally and I was able to talk to him for about 5 minutes or so. The guy is really cool, and cares about good causes like this.
