Browns want to trade out of #1?

According to Charlie Campbell on Walterfootball's site:

"Many around the league believes the Browns are hoping to trade down again. It will be harder this year because there isn't a quarterback to warrant a big package of picks in a trade upward."

WalterFootball.com: 2017 NFL Mock Draft

If you were Loomis, would you consider trading up for Myles Garrett? What would you send the Browns to try and get a deal done? I wish we had Brandin Cooks still to include in a deal.

Do you think 11, 32, next years 1st & 2nd would be enough to get a deal done?? Or would we have to throw in 42 or 76 to get it done. Or do you think it would take even more to do it. I would think it wouldn't take as much as normal since we are not trading up for a QB which usually is the case. I think I would at least try it maybe. He has a chance to be a really special pass rusher. Do we forgo the future to try and win one this year!! It's not like we have done so great with those picks in the past lol. I don't think I would do it, but I would at least see what it would take to get there.

If you're wanting to "go all in," you trade 42 for Butler, then package 11, 32, and next year's first for the #1 pick for Garrett.

I don't know if that's necessary to go that high though. I'd rather move into the top 4 for Solomon Thomas for a little cheaper.

I'd trade that for Von Miller, Garrett has that ability. Much riskier option, much greater rewards.

They finally found a formula to excite their fans: draft day ammo. Now they're just never going to draft and keep trading back and into the next year until the franchise goes under.

I don't think that value will be there for pass rushers at #11. Garrett and Thomas will definitely be gone. Barnett has a 75% chance of being gone...and isn't a big upside edge. McKinley is a stud but is injured and had a poor combine. TJ Watt is the next best, but is he a better OLB?

I truly think that trading down is the best idea if we insist on taking a 1st round DE. But if we stay put at #11...we get much better value getting a guy like McCaffrey who probably makes a bigger impact than anyone not named Garrett. The other option is moving up to get Garrett...It'd probably cost our two 1st and 2nd rounder...but there have been drafts that we've blown those picks anyway.

Their goal is to be the first team in NFL history to acquire all 32 picks in the 7th round

I don't buy it, I read the below quote earlier on Rotoworld and it's much more believable than them wanting to trade out of #1.

Quote:
The Cleveland Plain Dealer believes the Browns have "come to the conclusion" that Texas A&M DE/OLB Myles Garrett can be an "immediate franchise-changer."
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported something similar in December. Reporter Mary Kay Cabot believes the Browns are "fairly confident" they can select Garrett at No. 1 overall and still land UNC QB Mitch Trubisky or Clemson's Deshaun Watson at No. 12. Garrett is definitely the odds-on favorite to be the draft's top pick.
Outside of a QB, a pass rusher can make the single greatest impact on a team. Don't overthink it and draft the best one to come out in a while.

Maybe for Garrett, but not for Leonard Fournette.

Nah you just don't do that. Think Dion Jordan. If Garrett bombed like him it would completely waste Brees' last years.

Does he have an S on his chest? And what has Texas A&M's record been the last two years? We are not one player away.

This would be insane.

First, Cleveland still has to spend $50M+ in cap space and they already have 14 draft picks.

Why in f.... would they believe there is some benefit to trading out of the #1 spot.

Unlike "moneyball", the NFL requires you to spend money... and you arent going to spend that money in draft picks.
