Bulluck on NFL Radio
Anybody catch him earlier today? Basically said that he highly doubts Payton was involved in any way with the bounties. The locker room is the players sanctuary and head coaches he's played for never really entered into the locker room. Also says that every player out there on the defense is trying to hurt their opponent and knock them out a couple extra dollars doesn't enhance that mindset since its already there and if you want to win championships or be successful your defense needs to want to hurt the other team.
Also kinda insinuated that the Saints are just the fall guy because of the new concussion issues and studies. Oh and he wants to see some video evidence from the league where saints players have gone out of their way to inflict injuries on their opponents.
I was pretty happy to hear someone out there standing up for us a bit.

Not only that, but how many of those players still on the team? It seems like the Browns would lose Fujita, not sure any other Defenders are on other teams to think about it.

I thought it would be another head coach commenting on the surety of Payton not knowing, vs a player. Plus the statements made makes it sound like someone that is currently out of football.
Thus my guess it was Billick.

That's what I thought at first, but then again he wasn't even here from 2009-2011. Plus he is so irrelevant.

Can't say for sure, but I believe there is a gag order in place. People will start reacting only after the penalties are announced.

I like Bullock and as much as I want to believe him, I have trouble believing that a control freak like Payton doesn't know what's going on in his locker room.
And even if he didn't at first, the NFL did warned him about it a while ago. It's not like he was caught by surprise either

I listened to that show today as well. Pretty much all the callers (except the Saints fans) and even his co-host seem to want to lay this on the Saints. Those Viking fans are still really bitter.
Keith also pointed out (in a diplomatic way) that Goodell has no idea what goes on with the players since he and most of the higher-ups never played.
