Seriously. The League kept repeating that the players refused to participate "in any meaningful way" in the appeals hearing. So what's the hold up? Schefter even said today that it was curious that Goodell hadn't ruled yet. Something is definitely up. I doubt Rog has sprouted a conscience. Maybe they are waiting on their own voice recognition expert to pull a Mary Jo?

You watch I bet they are working on another way to "spin it" LOL. Ain't no way he would reduce the suspensions. He would never hear the end of it.. LOL Granted it would be the right thing for him to do but it takes alot of balls as a commissioner to admit he was wrong. Aside from that any reduction in suspension gives Vilma and his atty more ammo on his defamation suit. I'm dying to see what he comes up with LOL.

One item of procedure I find interesting is the three day AKA 72 hour rule that required the league to provide their evidence to the players in a timely manner. When all four players showed up at 10:00am this past Monday, the time ordained by the league, Vilma and Ginsberg left under the premise the CBA had been violated. Goodell postponed with the other three players allegedly to make the 72 hour period good. I'm guessing that Fujita, Smith and Hargrove are presumed to have consented to this. Clearly Vilma did not.

So it appears that the league was technically in violation of the appeal procedure. Without Vilma's consent to allow the extra time does this maybe put Goodell in a no-win position with him? Could this be part of the reason for the delay?

They have dug in too deep. They have been fighting this whole thing from a place of absolute power and authority. I think they have finally got to ESPN, no mention of brees on letterman or the nflpa's voice recognition statement on the front page.

NFL is going to let things cool of and then bam " we have overwhelming evidence that prove there was a bounty program" and that's because that's all they have to do there is no recourse for their actions.

Their is no way they will waiver one bit on punishments because, it would open more questions about the coaches, if they can't prove the players took part in a bounty system.

But im praying im wrong but i just have a gut feeling we are screwed.
