And you think he's a sure bet to beat out Johnny Patrick? Starting experience isn't always an advantage when you're burnt toast. The situation he'd be in wouldn't be much different.

We have changed DCs and Spags likes CBs to play press coverage. Jenkins can play press and is not a small built CB. I would not mind taking a shot for a 6th or 7th, but not much more.

Whodat.... Make it happen Loomis like seriously we need a #2 CB with good hands. He would fit right in and a good ST player. Greer,Jenkins,& Robinson with J Patrick as a nickel/dime CB Awesome get it done for like a 5th R 6th round pick. Bulk him up let him even play some FS lol.. Just playing

1 mil for a 1 year cb with experience is a win-win in my eyes for the saints. no long term commitment. he is in a contract year so he will want to prove himself. and at the very least he gives us depth at the cb position. i wouldn't want him out there for the majority of plays or anything.

I would give next year's 2nd round pick for him. You think they would go for it? Make it happen Loomis.

Welcome to the latest edition of 'someone got released or wants to be traded', he should be a Saint talk. I'm echoing what someone said before, if he has zero interest of working for a starting job because two other argueably better corners are ahead of him, and not be a nickel corner, what makes you think he would want to be traded to a team that would have him be the same?
P-Rob + Jabari, I'm happy, thanks.

I agree its funny how qhen someone wants to be tradee people are wanting it to happen.
Jenkins is a below average CB who wants more money and to be a starter two things that wont happen here. I would rather sign Drew Coleman who is better will cost aboyt the same and wont coat a draft pick

I wouldn't put all my eggs in the Johnny Patrick basket just yet. Nickel CB is an important postion in the NFL, and Patrick is unproven. He will get the spot if he earns it in camp. The Saints have absolutely no proven veteran depth behind the 2 starting CBs, and if they don't address the issue, they will get burnt all season.

The Saints need CB help badly. So anyone who gets released be be on this page within minutes. Who else is out there that has been a starter and a proven competitior. Drew Coleman is tiny (Jason David)

I live in Dallas and watched over half their games you are absolutely right... The dude gets injured once a game
Drew brees would be suspended if we'd play the cowboys cuz if mike Jenkins attempted to play on the ball he would've got hurt and nfl would have called it a cart off
