Did Patrick Willis say "We bounty hunters today"?

Man, I hope somebody DVR'd the top 10 of the Top 100 of 2012.

I was watching it this morning on NFL network and I swear I heard Willis say,..." We gotta play like gladiators....we bounty hunters today"

I jumped on the computer and checked you tube but couldn't find it... so I went on NFL.com and found it there, but.....they edited out

Check it out...it starts at about 2:28 and you hear him say play like gladiators, then you hear "we gotta play like" followed by silence for a second or two (however long it takes to say "bounty hunters today")

I really hope somebody has recorded the original version..

Well, if he was wearing black and gold there would probably be a power point presentation on it provided by the NFL.

Definitely edited out something. I also hear him later say "if you get a chance to hit someone you punish, them."

Shame, shame - we must eliminate this sort of thing. In fact, just eliminate defense.

I actually am hearing him say bounty hunters the first time. Maybe my ears are play tricks or something.

If this is the clip you are referring to, he says, "Today baby, today we are gladiators man. We gotta play like it."

I had to put on headphones to actually make out the last sentence.

On this clip, all I'm hearing as the last sentence is "We gotta play like ............"

Thats the same edited version from nfl.com... I know I heard him say " we are gladiators man...we gotta play like bounty hunters today"

The youtube video was uploaded on June 27. Not sure of their source.

He definitely says the word "IT" after "We gotta play like". It sounds more like "likeit." You have to listen with some headphones.

Almost right after he says "it", the narrator takes over and says "the real blah blah blah." It does sound like it could have been doctored and spliced though. We need to get a copy of the TV version.

I would rather focus on clearing out players than dragging other players into it.

I can see where it sounds like he could say play like it, but he is nodding his head during the "edited" part that makes it seem like he is still saying something.

He's a great football player. Great football players say stuff like that. Or at least they used to be able to say stuff like that.

I'm not trying to drag Patrick Willis into anything...I love the way he plays the game, I wish he was a Saint...but I'm sure I heard him say it and was hoping someone had recorded it.

I looked for video to post here of what I heard, and found the one at nfl.com above and realized it had been edited out.... maybe I should have just let it go.

Mods can delete this if its inappropriate. I'll keep looking for the original video.

great post. your point I think is that hyperbole exists in many conversations and it definitely exists in the NFL. We can show with this audio that GW used hyperbole the same way Willis did.
