DUI/DWI worst then pay for performance?
The league and roger goodell are taking this pay for performance thing with the saints completely over the top with all the suspensions and penalties. He should be putting all these players who drink and drive out the league for a year. A DUI/DWI is far worse in my opinion. Drinking and driving has the potential to kill and the saints "bounty" program has potential to maybe break a bone, give a concusion, or at worse paralyze someone. I understand the potential injuries the players my give out as a priority for the league, but is that more serious than potentialing killing someone?
Ps. DUI/DWI- 1 to 2 game suspension
Pay for performance- 2game to indefinite suspension
Doesn't add up in my opinion

Id say yes. DUI/DWI potentially puts many peoples lives at risk.

Technically, you can die in football as well.

It definitely doesn't add up. If the NFL was really worried about safety or the image of the NFL, they'd come down much harder on DUIs and weapon related crimes.

Sure, technically you can die from just about anything. People playing football consent to getting hit, people driving on the road don't consent to getting killed b/c someone couldn't just call a cab; especially when that someone has plenty enough money to get a cab.

Victims of drunk driving don't sue the NFL. It's about the player safety lawsuits, which in turn could cost the league and its owners a great deal of money.

And clearly if rg gives a lesser suspension, he is saying that citizens are worth less than playrrs

As far as I can tell nobody was suspended for having a "bounty" program they were suspended for "lying" about having a "bounty" program. So, lying is worse than DWI/DUI

When former players start suing the league because football made them get DUI's, then it will become an issue.

I would think that a DUI/DWI would be worse and should have a harsher penalty because you can put innocent lives at risk when doing that. But I guess Goodell and the NFL would say that you can't compare the two because PFP is an on field issue and DWI/DUI is an off field issue. But either way, the penalty should be more regardless if it is off field or not.
