Sounds like you think that person would be a "snitch" or "lacked honor". I'm guessing you and I have slightly different value systems.

No I live in the real world. Do you? Where is this ethical value system you speak of: in politics, on Wall St, in college sports, or maybe the Catholic church?

Right. I mean duh -- these guys on opposing teams went to college together, have off the field friendships, etc
Why would anyone think that someone WOULDN'T talk about a bounty in place the rewarded injuring opposing offensive players.

What are the implications?
Remember some Saints players could have moved on from the Saints to another team in 2011. Why would it be wrong for that player to "out" the Saints for cheating -- ESPECIALLY if you had to play against them?
Wouldn't it be wrong not to at least warn the offensive players on your team that the Saints have a bounty for injuring offensive players?

Adam Schefter said until 3 months ago the NFL didn't have much to prove any wrong doing on the Saints part

Would you still admire this hypothetical person if he never directly tried to get his teammates to stop? Or, if he only came forward after he learned the team wanted to go seperate ways?

Great point. My guess is there where LOTS of players who weren't cool with this and that's why there is documentation on it. Players weren't cool with a bounty system that financially rewarded injuring opposing players and more likely than not they filed formal or informal complaints with the front office, the NFLPA, etc
That's what you are supposed to do in that situation.
That's my guess on what makes up the Documentation the NFL has gathered.

That wouldn't surprise me as he was dumb enough to play man coverage against V Davis. He would also be dumb enough to spite the Saints and ruin his career in the process.

Former Ravens coach Brian Billick said Suggs never should have made the bounty public. From DanPatrick.com:
Billick says there is a defensive mentality to go after players and knock them out of the game. Billick says every team does things like bounties in their locker room. They just should never talk about it publicly. Billick thought that's where the mistake was.

Someone snitched
There is no way the NFL could have found this out unless someone ratted. There is no documentation, no proof or other way of knowing. Yet they claim 22 out 27 defensive players were involved, they even claim the bounty amounts and the types of bounty.

first we find out which 22 out of which 27 and then we take a look at the 5 left, and determine it. and how each would benefit
