How can you cry "conspiracy" when they were given a chance to stop it without penalty?
This is what they call in college sports a "lack of institutional control."

Well put. We need a new attitude but we also need to get Brees signed and Nicks. Colston would be a bonus but not as important as the other two.

Meh, it's better than getting pistol-whipped or shot at.

Drew Brees or Condon.
Condon "Don't tag Drew"
Loomis "I'm not paying what you want"
Condon "I'm telling then and you'll be forced to sign us to save face!"

It is amazing the lengths that some will go here to be pro-Saints. If another team had some bounty and they so much as gave one of our players a hangnail many here would be calling for lifetime bans, head coaches to be fired, and GM's to step down. The dishonor does not, in any way, lie with whoever told, if anyone in particular. The only dishonor is in a coaching staff and a team that would so flagrantly flaunt the rules, even when warned.

allegedly.....the saints were doing what every team does. and it was primarily the players acting like players. To hate this would be to hate pretty much every team in the league. I just think my other note was to hi light how little the players on the accused team were interested in injuring anyone. Even the primary game mentioned.....sharper refused to put Favre out of the game....after a few hits he admitted to pulling up on favre.

So where did he get the information on our "bounties" from this year, seeing as he wasn't with us?
It's more than one person. And it's probably not just players... Remember, we've had a few staff leave on not so friendly terms.

Wouldn't the obvious answer be the Coach who just fled town about an hour ahead of the pitchforked villagers for ******* up a playoff game?

McCray was the first name that came to mind. I am a little puzzled by GW's quick apology as well. The accusations just became public today. Within a few hours GW is issuing a formal apology basically admitting to the program. This from a guy we have heard nothing from (including anything about the SF game) in months. Why such a quick apology?
This comment from the NFL stuck with me-
"We recently received significant and credible new information and the investigation was re-opened during the latter part of the 2011 season."
Where did the evidence come from? Did it come from GW? Did he have a grudge with Payton or Benson? Sure he will suffer financially, but the Saints team and organization will suffer exponentially. Something just does not smell right about this sudden discovery of information when they could not find anything prior to this in over a year of investigating.

I guess we won't know until the punishments are handed out and we see how hard they hit GW.
If he's hit hard, he didn't do it, but if he isn't... Someone might have taken the deal.
