Meh, they always look better on paper. As long as they have Mike Smith as coach and Matty at Qb they will be mediocre.
They will always be a tough out due to our rivalry, but we will always prevail .

Does anyone on Earth believe that it was the scheme holding that offense back?

These guys are so far behind the curve it's not even funny. It's as if the Saints and Falcons play totally different sports. This type of falcons team would be able to win some playoff games in the mid 90's but now they're just irrelevant.

We've got all sorts of weapons. We've got running backs. We've got tight ends. We've got receivers

Great. So they've got players that every other team has, too. Guess they forgot they need a player that is also on every other team. They've got Fusilli Matt. I love the Falcons. They're so cute.

you need a QB in order to be successful in the air. They really do not have one. This will not end well for them...

Do you really think their QB is bad? Im not sure.
We have to remember that Freeman, Newton and Ryan are still relatively young. At their age Brees was a so-so quarterback. They might be average QBs right now, but they can still develop.
And with 3 possible "star" QBs in the division the chances that one of them will develop into a superstar are quite high. The Saints have a tough, tough division to contend with in the next 10 years.
Move us to the NFC West please, Mr. Ommissioner?

Didn't Roddy White say something similar last offseason?

I agree that Julio is the absolute truth. Anyone who disagrees is either a homer or doesn't understand football. The problem is, he's a big play receiver and they don't have anyone to get him the ball deep. Matt Ryan is a good QB, I won't take that from him, but he has to be one of the most terrible deep ball passers I've seen. You either have it, or you don't, and Ryan doesn't. On top of that, he needs an absolute clean pocket to deliver the ball. He has terrible pocket mobility, so if the Clowns have any breakdown up front, the potential of a big play is non-existent.
As for Mike Smith, I think he's a good coach. The thing about the Falcons is that they play up to their maximum potential. That's a sign of good coaching. He's made a few mistakes of course, but the problem in ATL isn't the head coach.
