Flynn Record Setting Day - Case for Brees MVP [MEGA MERGED]
Flynn just set both single game yardage and touchdown for the Packers. Which could lead some voters of the MVP to attribute Rodger's success to Green Bay offensive system versus his brilliance.

Matt Flynn's case for Drew Brees
Flynn has thrown 31 of 44 for 480 yards and 6 TDs against Detroit. Seems just as good (if not better) than what Rodgers has done in any game for the Packers - in fact, it's an all time record for the Packers. Pretty impressive for a team whose history boasts Rodgers, Favre, and arguably the greatest QB of all time, Bart Starr.
#1 - Way to go, Tiger.
#2 - Makes Brees' accomplishments seem all the more impressive since a back-up is doing what Rodgers does (against a playoff-bound team).
Just a thought...

It's not like Rodgers hasn't played against that defense. Why didn't he set records when he played them? This is significant; although, I don't think it will get much notice nationally. Drew should win MVP but will be lucky to get co-MVP.

I also want to thank Matt Flynn for proving that Rodgers is NOT THE MVP.... If he was then the Packers would not be racking up so many points and yards with him sitting on the bench.
I can guarantee if Brees was sitting, Daniels would not put up Brees like numbers.

If Flynn can do this with that Green Bay offense, no doubt it has to shed some light that maybe it's not all Rodger's Super Ability (see Brees for super ability).
lol
Detroit had alot to play for and was playing their tails off too.
