Goodell: Player penalties coming "soon"
Per Rich Eisen:
Quote:
Just interviewed Roger Goodell, who said player discipline in Bounty case was coming "soon" & rejected "just following orders" defense
The @NFLCommish said "evidence was clear that the players embraced it" and "I don't think they are absolved from responsibility"

Guess we'll know whenever he's good and ready.

Hence the Loomis eavesdropping 'scandal' dropping yesterday. Prepping the area for another carpet bombing.

Come on Goodell, just get it over with. Just know that for any player you decide to suspend, you'd better have evidence that they participated, because the NFLPA will be coming after you.

I hope the NFLPA rips him a new one.
Of course I don't mean that physically I wouldn't want anyone to think I would want bodily harm to come to him.

By and large I'm with a lot of you guys when it comes to the Players. I haven't seen anything that a reasonable person would consider on the field misconduct that should rise to the level of suspensions.
But do you really think Goodell is so stupid as to try and suspend guys without proof?
I mean wouldn't you think that if he targets anyone, knowing the NFLPA is poised and ready to attack, that his office would be able to produce something that directly shows the player did something wrong?

Godell is gonna drop the hammer then let the PA jump all over him, so he can turn this into a media circus. "He's looking after player safety, PA is not." He will use us as a tool to try and turn the tables on the players cuncussion case. Just watch.

Why don't they just try and scrap the whole organization.. Seems like that's what they are doing anyways.

Agree after all he is the true watchdog of player safety not the NFPLA.
The NFL was shocked when they learned that the NFLPA was backing the Saints players. Shocked!!!!!!
Until there is evidence to prove otherwise of course the NFLPA is going to back the players.

There is no proof. Look at the verbiage he is using, " The players embraced it." What does that mean? Anything he wants it to.
