For you guys who got Sunday Ticket for free do you see it reflected on your account yet? I've called a few times because things have gotten messed up with my account. They keep insisting Sunday Ticket is checked on my account. I don't see it reflected on the online account interface from their website.
I called yesterday and used the Viacom angle. I got Sunday Ticket Max for free and $30 off per month for a year. Had to agree to a 1 year commitment, but so what. In a year I'll have to go through the same process and could leave if I want to.

I decided to call and said "cancel". Got hooked up to a 1st line person who I told I wasn't happy with the Viacom deal, and I have kids who are upset that all the Nick channels are gone(true). She offered me $5/month off and free Showtime/Starz. I told her that was unacceptable since I have friends receiving the Sunday Ticket Max for free and she basically offered me nothing. She gave me some talk about new customers getting it for free, blah, blah, blah. I told her to just cancel my service and get me to customer retention so I can start my Uverse service soon. The Customer Retention person didn't play games. I got 20/mo off which covered the Sunday Ticket, and he threw in the Max for free. Also got Showtime/Starz free for 6 months. I actually come about a bit ahead. Glad I called. Took about 15 mins. And I don't have a commitment for the deal.
just got off phone, they credit my acct $48 to go toward the 50% off i have on ST Max. offered me showtime or starz for free for 6 months (I declined). they said i have a mo credit on my acct and they can prob do more when it expires this month. I know they can do more now but ok. I told them i'll call back after the mo credit expires end of month to try to get rest of ST Max for free. Under $100 for ST Max is still good, but seems like everyone getting for free.

I called in and said I was upset. They wouldn't budge. "That's it!" I said, "I'm canceling!" I was expecting a nice little price reduction after I had said that, just like everyone else, but instead I got a punch in the nose. So unlucky

No, not yet but I called back and they confirmed it's there.
It probably won't show up until our next statement.
I just called and talked to the retention specialist and got a 40 $ credit + 6 month 10 $ hd credit + 12 month choice ultimate 10 $ credit + 25 $ for Sunday ticket. So basically it pays for sunday ticket this year. I just realized this isn't the max package though lol. Might have to give them a call again later and haggle. I'm with direct tv for only a year too. ( he was a browns fan and we talked football for like 15 mins)
What I don't know, is what kind of service do you get, in order that the NFL ST is free? That's my question.
I have Direct TV, but I only have the basic package....I also have COX cable, and I don't want to give it up. So do I get any reduction, or pay the normal fee? I believe this year is around $200 for the Sunday Ticket....If there are reductions, does that apply for the basic package too?

thx in advance for any reply....
Keep calling bro . You should be able to get the Ticket for free when the right person comes along. Being nice is the key. Reductions should apply to the basic packages also. Like other posters said, they are weak right now . Keep calling !
have been a customer since 2007 - said i wanted to cancel sunday ticket because i didn't ike that they were giving it away for free when people moved - "wasn't fair to the longtime customers"
got sunday ticket at regular price $199.95 but got $20 off my bill each month for a year and then he threw in showtime/starz for 6 months too ...
after you get the initial customer service rep - you gotta get them to transfer you to the "retention office" waited online for about 15 mins - i said i wanted to cancel my sunday ticket and that's where they transfered me to

i'm happy
That's similar to what I got, but when I told the guy that my kids like watching the redzone channel and it's only available with the Max package, he threw it in for free. I didn't actually lie either. My kids are upset about their Nick shows being gone, and they like watching the Redzone channel and were mad at me for not initially getting it.
