Early in the 12-minute speech, Williams told his players, “Kill the head, the body will die” – one of the coach’s signature phrases, according to numerous current and former Saints defenders. In this case, Williams designated 49ers halfback Frank Gore as “the head” and then ratcheted up the rhetoric.
“We’ve got to do everything in the world to make sure we kill Frank Gore’s head,” Williams told the players. “We want him running sideways. We want his head sideways.”
Then, referencing backup halfback Kendall Hunter, Williams continued: “Little 32, we want to knock the [expletive] out of him. He has no idea what he’s in for. When he’s on the sideline, we’ve gotta turn that [expletive] over, turn their coaches over, turn the spectators over. Go and get that [expletive] on the sidelines.”
Zbikowsky of the colts said he wants to "beat the crap out of opponents." in order to do that you have to kill them. When people die, they lose control of their bowels and crap comes out of them. So if you want to take everything that everybody says literally, then we better suspend the whole league.
Gregg is done. He has absolutely no integrity and I don't see how he'll ever be able to coach again in the NFL. No wonder our defense had such horrible tackling fundamentals. He actually preached to guys to take kill shots and big hits rather than wrap up and tackle the right way. Thank god for Spags.
It's a metaphor, he's not saying take Gore out the game, he's saying effectively take him out the game by stopping him.

I hate when athletes compare their sport to the military. However, I've played football and I serve in the military and there is one thing in common between both of them and it's the bonds you build with either your brothers on the football field or your brothers/sisters in arms. There's a reason why only 1% serve in the military and only a small % of people play in the highest level of sports for the entertainment of the public, it's because it's not for everyone and if the public knew what goes on behind closed doors couldn't handle it and would be outraged like we see now.
This is fitting in that aspect and goes out to all the weak people who love to watch football, but can't understand what it takes for someone to run full speed into another player also running at full speed and take him out.
