If Payton can't have any contact with the team, maybe he should spend this entire year meeting with the fans
Spend this entire year meeting with the fans...Getting to know them...Maybe setting up Golf Scrambles, live appearances, maybe even dinner with fans a few times this year. As a head coach, that cannot coach, he should do something productive with the people he CAN have interraction with..... THE LOYAL NEW ORLEANS SAINTS FAN BASE!! It would be a marketing COUP for the Saints, and fans would appreciate it and grow an even deeper LOVE for our coveted team...It is understood that he could not do this if football was going on, but he is to have NO contact with anything TEAM related, so why NOT take this time to completely get to know fans, become a part of the whodat nation, and create a bond that will never be forgotten by the fans of New Orleans...

I like the idea that I read here on Saints Report several weeks ago:
Sean Payton's Hypothetical Coaching Scenarios for Sunday's Game.
Only on Fox 8, Friday at 10:30 pm.

I would agree with that also....Good call...Just something, to give back to the fans that have been so loyal to him and this team...It would bring the city and the Saints something to experience that has probably never happened before, and would show the rest of the league how they only made us stronger...

I bet having everyone ask him "so how hard is it not coaching this sunday?" would get old very fast

Since Sean said he will be coaching his sons football team, I am sure he will be in Dallas most of the time.
He only lives about 10 miles from our Game Day hangout in DFW. We are going to at least try to get him to come watch games with us.

He should focus on making up the ~$7 million dollars Goodell stole from him this season.

This. I imagine that he's looking forward to spending time with his kids. Something that most coaches sacrifice when they become coaches.

Most batam football leagues or done by the end of October, so he will still have plenty free time. Like the idea of meeting fans after games and we could call in the next weeks coaches show and let the present coach know a friend of the fans suggest they should plan to do this or that next week.

Let the dude spend time with his family. This will be his only opportunity to spend some serious quality time with his kids... the fans will be here when he gets back.

Nah. We'd just get him drunk and dare him to make prank calls to the Commissioner.

He should spend this time with his wife and children and fall off of the map for a while. Take a couple of vacations.
