Arizona announced that Ryan Williams has been placed on IR and done for the year. They have already lost Beannie Wells for the year to injury.
So Evan Silva of Rotoworld suggests via Twitter that the Cardinals should pursue Ivory.

Chris Ivory would be awfully good trade target for #Cardinals before Oct 30 deadline. Power runner going to waste with 0 carries in Nola.

Jason LaCanfora chimes in, but we know that usually whatever he says, the exact opposite occurs.

Cardinals not immediately exploring trades/signings for a RB after losing Williams for the season. Could seek out a veteran down the road
I for one like him, but I think we all agree that PT needs to be our primary RB and they aren't playing him anyway. I'm not sure how much value he could bring in return, but I don't see anything wrong with the possibility of the Saints at least looking into it.
On the surface it looks like a good idea for both teams, however, if the week after trade Ivory both Ingram and Thomas go down with injuries what then? though with how bad the running game has been this season that might not really matter.
We need better players on the Oline, we need better players on the DLine. If trading Ivory can get us those, either in the form of a player or a high draft pick, i'm good with it, though i doubt the saints would make such a major move as long as Loomis is suspended.
You guys have some good arguments. But then again, we had a shortage of RB's when we went into Seattle in the postseason.
Looking at the OVERALL from our FO in since the Payton era began, I'd defer to their better judgment. If they see it's to our advantage, they'll pull the trigger. My only concern is that we do not have access to Payton & Loomis. Without their input, the rest of the brain trust would be reluctant to make a move.

Arizona doesn't want the bolts to come out of their season. They absolutely need a RB @ this point to take pressure off of whatever QB they have. They just might be desperate enough to do it.
Ingram would get us more in return via trade, and Ivory is a RFA after the season and we could keep him on the CHEAP! I'd take a 4th rounder for Ingram RIGHT NOW!
