If there is ONE investigative reporter in this area that I trust almost unconditionally, it's Lee Zurik. That dude is ALWAYS spot-on.
I'm not going to defend or condemn Tim Landry at this point. But I wonder if he now thinks it was worth it. It just got real for Tim Landry.

So let me get this straight. Barr contacted Wilkerson, who was removed from the sidelines and team plane by Payton for being a weirdo, only to be eventually fired for popping pills. Wilkerson gives Barr the name of a sound man who was fired by the club for secretly using their equipment at his personal leisure and over billing.
Is that about right?

It's funny, when this news came out. I was going to suggest it could be Kenny Wilkerson on the thread where some people pointed to Geoff Santini. But I was trying to do so from my phone and was having some trouble. Well, to find out that KW had a role in it, along with this Tim Landy fellow, is just despicable.

I think people are missing out on the fact that it doesnt matter if Landry implicates himself, as what we've been hearing is the statute of limitations on this is 5 years. So if he can manufacture some "evidence", it doesnt get him or Loomis sent to jail, but it does get the Saints fined, and Loomis probably fired.
However, if he *doesnt* have evidence, lying to the FBI could carry some severe penalties.

Nothing to see here. No one, IMO, in the law enforcement community will pursue this. Once the public sees who the accuser is and the huge axe he has to grind, this will all go away. The fact that KW's name is attached to this alone makes it completely non credible. (Remember when he was on 690 and claimed that Brees had a career ending injury and lost the lockerroom?)
Unfortunately, ESPN will quietly drop the story and never be held accountable for their actions.
