Mark Ingram Knee Issue?
I was listening to the 2 minute drill this morning on NFL Radio and it sounds like I heard the announcer say that Mark Ingram would not do available at the beginning of camp because he is still recovering from knee surgery. I haven't read that in any of the updates posted here, so I wanted to know if that was true?

Yep, he had knee surgery a couple months ago... Supposed to be ready before end of camp though.

He had knee surgery so they will be watching him but he's ready to go per Vitt.

He is not on PUP, he will just not get the full load in the beginning.

even if he goes to the pup and we sit on him for the stretch run we are looking good at RB. this might gives us a chance to give a better look at one of the incoming RBs

Ingram had a knee scope early in the off season. He'll be fine, they're just not rushing him into the fold yet.
If he does any practice at all today, he can not be placed on PUP. Also, he'll probably be ready to go by week 1 of the season at the worst.

I saw Ingram on the field a couple of weeks ago - dude smoked the 40 yard dash and was juking and dashing away from a few hundred kids on the football field. He didn't appear to have any limp or pain or issues.
I'm confident this is a non-issue, and Mark said in his own pressers that it was 100%

so are you presenting the possibility that a national media source may have broadcast information on the saints that might not have been 100% verified?
that's just crazy talk

Saints and Ingram, don't rush the healing process. A few weeks is worth a whole career (better safe than sorry).

There just gonna limit him some to make sure his knee doesn't swell up and is in shape.

Mark Ingram - New Orleans Saints - 2012 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com
"Interim Saints coach Joe Vitt isn't sure whether Mark Ingram (knee surgery) will be ready for the start of training camp on Thursday.
Vitt said the Saints' training staff will continue to "monitor" the 2011 first-round pick, and that it's possible he'll be limited for the beginning of camp. Ingram had previously insisted his early-May knee scope was "as minor as it gets," and guaranteed he'd be ready for the start of practices. He'll be a candidate for the active/PUP list, from which he can be activated at any time."
