Thumbs up Maybe Goodell should have majored in History rather than Economics

What about all those other "gates" Commissioner? Did you learn nothing from their outcomes? Watergate, Iran-Contragate, whitewatergate, whatever the particular "gate", the truth, in the end, was always exposed? Do you think history is going to treat you any differently? You think the CBA is going to prevent the buried truth from finding its way to the surface? You better ask yourself this question: if the NFL investigation and all the evidence is completely exposed, how will it reflect on me?

You are worried about the here and now. You should worry about the future. Sean Payton is going to be able to tell his side of the story in full one day. Jeff Pash's assistant might know something malignant that eats away at him/ her for a year or two before she/he decides to confess it. Your " sources" might buckle under the weight of their concsience. You never know the how or why a light gets shined on something dark and concealed.

The Saints certainly learned their lesson about the truth eventually coming out when their pay for performance program was exposed. Now reasonable people are beginning to believe you twisted and misrepresented the pay for performance program to make it seem the Saints were/are sinister miscreants bent on hurting players for money, and lives have been ruined because of it. You keep saying you have proof of a bounty gate, but you refuse to allow us to see it.

Vilma may or may not win his case, but the truth will still out itself some day. It always does.

Sleep well Commissioner.

Don't forget nipplegate. Truth was exposed there too.

And tailgate. All that junk food, beer, liquor...let's just say the buried truth eventually finds its way to the surface.

And chainlink gate. Ever tried to line one of those up? Just an inch off on one post, and you're screwed.

Would really love someone to ask some pointed questions of Joe Hummel, the lead investigator who resigned to "take another opportunity."
