The smart money says that the Patriots overachieved this season, and were really still about a year away. So an extra year of development for some young players makes them very appealing...

I think the fact they were in the Superbowl, plus have 4 picks in the 1st two rounds and play in the AFC really helps their odds

Listening to the herd today and he actually had a good point, most of the reason they're the favorites is they have one of the weakest schedules next year, He says the only top QB they face is Joe Flacco if you want to call him that, otherwise they play their division and the NFC west, pretty weak if you ask me
