Shefter reporting that Wilson will start for the Seahawks in the upcoming game. Interesting, I liked the kid coming out but didnt think he could win it that fast.

Interesting indeed. Heard them discussing this on NFL AM. All that money for Flynn and this is what they get.

After everything that has occured with Kevin Kolb and now what may happen with Matt Flynn, maybe teams will think twice about giving these guys that play one or two great games all that money.

It probably just has more to do with it being the Pre-Season and wanting to evaluate and compare how each do with first stringers against first stringers. We'll see come week 1 who's behind center.

It's hard to say, you also have to take into account their coach, he's a nut ball. Flynn hasn't played that bad, from what i understand and that long pass to TO in the last game was beautiful and TO dropped it. He can't throw and catch the football. Seattle could compete for that division, at least they won't be starting Tjack anymore. lol.
Wilson has played well, but not against starters, starting this week will be his true first test. Flynn isn't doing bad, but they want a look at both QB's. Its a real competition. Flynn wasn't just handed the job.

yeah I want to see Wilson against 1st string opposition... he's been killin it against the backups, but now lets see what he can do against the ones.

I'd think twice about taking a QB from McCarthy or Reid. As far as the qb position goes, they have a knack for making chicken salad out of chicken...poop.

When everyone was talking about Kellen Moore as a possible draft pick for the Saints (because he was short like Drew and Chase) I was really sincerely hoping the Saints would give Russel Wilson a good look instead! I didn't expect him to go so high to a team like the Seahawks, though. He might actually make me a fan of that team (because lets face it.... I'd prefer to root for any team in that division over the 49ers, currently.)
I saw that a lot of us here at SaintsReport.com were talking very highly of Wilson... especially since he reportedly models his game after Drew Brees (and watches tons of tape on him.)
Six foot QBs are not able to throw accurately because they can't see over their line and they get their balls batted down. The NFL is a big man's game.
But... Drew Brees would take exception to that statement, he hits on 72% of his passes.
Maybe.... short Russell Wilson has studied how Drew has done it too.

He's going to get pounded Glad I'm not a Seahawk fan because Pete Thinks hes still coaching college football!!! Big difference between 1's and 3's football players
