The talk over here on the Tottenham side is that we may potentially get Raiders home games in their "missing" season in 19 to see how it goes.

The NFL in London won't work for logistical, financial and cultural reasons. The old maxim "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" doesn't seem to register with Goodell.

Eh. The League calls the Super Bowl winner "world champion" so it goes both ways.

Players won't stand for it. Flying from Miami to Seattle will turn you into a stone. Flying from Cali to London will turn you into a fossil.

They're just trying to build hype over there. There is no chance London ever gets a team, there are just too many logistical issues.

For instance - What happens should the London team earn a home playoff game? Teams are going to have to travel overseas on one week's notice? What if it's a west coast team having to make that playoff trip or the London team having to travel to California?

I could MAYBE see a scenario where there is one particular team that annually plays 3 or 4 games there (not necessarily all home games) and adds "London" to their existing team name. I.E. the Jacksonville-London Jaguars. But beyond that, I just can't see it as a viable possibility full-time.

Jet lag is a definite concern. When west coast teams fly to the east coast for a noon game,Vegas uses that to set odds.

I heard the following on ESPN radio awhile back. The only way it would work is to have the London team based in the U.S.during the week.
Both teams could then fly to London at the same time for the game.

Despite what Waller might have said on the record, I don't foresee this working for all the reasons already stated by our fellow fans on here.

If you check, you should find that this just so happens to coincide with tickets for this year's games going on general sale in the UK. And if you check further, you'll see that the NFL floats the same 'League wants a team in London by...' story shortly before releasing said tickets every. damn. year.

I know this, because I have to point it out to the gullible idiots over here when they send me excitable messages linking to these PR exercises every year.
