Perret's Pics from Training Camp, Saturday 7-28
After sitting in my car in the parking lot waiting out the rain, it turned out to be a great day at practice. Here are my photos...

Drew trots out, and the crowd goes wild

Harper and Jenkins

Drew under center for the first time in pads

Spags looking on

Sproles bursting around the side

Jimmy snatching one out of the air

Stretches. Sorry ladies, the crane was blocking my view of Drew.

PT and Zach Strief

Lofton

Cam yukkin' it up with the crowd

Hartley

PT juking Hawthorne out of his cleats

Chase Daniel calling signals, with Carmichael and Drew looking on

Chase with one of several nice scrambles today

Johnny Patrick with a nice bat-down against Lance. JP had a great day.

Colston taking in a LASER from Brees. Seriously, this throw was in the air for about 4.5 nanoseconds.

Jabari picking off Drew in front of Jed Collins

Higgins making a nice grab with Quddus defending

The Gatorade cart tipped over. Drew came over to help pick everything up.

Vitt talking to Lance

Spags: "Come on, man!"

Sproles, as usual, leaving the defense in his wake. Super Smurf looks as ridiculously quick as ever.

Find a guy who enjoys his job more than this guy. I dare you.

Harper, Jenkins, and Panama Jack

Vitt addressing the troops at the end of practice
Signing time!

Jabari

Big Will

any idea why it's offense v offense in that first shot
edit: also aren't all players supposed to have full pads/leg - thigh knee pads?
is that only on game day?

Thanks! Canon 40D, and these were all with the 75-200mm f/4L.

Lofton looks like he could tackle a redwood tree.
Thanks for the pictures, when Payton said "Do your Job" you took it seriously, much appreciation from the out-of-town,off island crowd.

Glad to be of service. I lived in Dallas for 10 years, and I lived on the training camp reports from the locals back home. Now that I'm back, it's a privilege to be able to do the same for you guys.
And I WISH this was my job. Just a hobby for now, but who knows...

It was just the first drills of the day, just run-throughs with the offense. The defense was doing the same. As far as pads, most were in full pads - it was full-go today.

Nice, I too use a Canon and have a 75-200mm lens. I'm hoping to make it to practice tomorrow. Tried on Thursday but obviously it rained.
