players getting refs to throw a flag
I know this will work both ways but as we all saw in the jags game after a play if the refs dont imediatly throw a flag and an oposing player runs up to the ref making the motion to throw the flag it should be a fine or penalty for that team. in the jags game it seemed that the last drive was given to the jags by this process, seemed to me the ref at the goal line saw and felt the pressure to throw the flag that gave the jags the first down, there was a few second delay and then BOOM out come the flag, the ref was looking at the jags player who came running in after the play motioning for the flag and got it. the fine should actually go to the ref scab or not.what do you think?

That's on the refs. Players are always like that, but their reactions shouldn't influence the refs.
I mentioned this in the other thread too, but it seemed like that's what happened in the Redskins/Bears game.
Pierre Garcon ran out of bounds on his own with Charles Tillman in coverage. As Tillman turned his head around to look for the ball, Garcon got his right arm wrapped around Tillman's neck which made Tillman trip with minimal contact on Garcon. Garcon then flailed his arms to suggest "where's the flag?".
After a second or two, that's when the flag came out. Defensive pass interference on Tillman.
Despite the fact that Tillman didn't touch Garcon. Plus, Garcon went out of bounds willingly... making him an ineligible receiver.

Those 2 flops in the jags game were pretty obvious, I'm just glad the games don't matter just yet.

There was the also the PI where our DB (can't remember who) got his feet tangled up with the receiver while looking back for the ball that was called. Isn't that situation a no call?

Yep. Supposed to be incidental contact if the defender is making play on the ball and feet get tangled.

There was also the "uncatchable ball" PI. Since when is it a PI whenthe ball is overthrown by 20 yards before any touching?

I think there should be a rule that if a player makes the "throw a flag" gesture or runs up to a ref asking for a flag, there should be an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty called and 15 yards marked off. (I wouldn't mind a new 5 yard penalty just for that situation.)
It is ridiculous what some of the coaches do sometimes, in a way that is part of their job, but players should stay out of it.

I noticed this and thought to myself the same thing: If the Jags player hadn't questioned it, it wouldn't have been called.
That was some sorry officiating out there. And I will even go on record as believing that the catch by Henderson wasn't a catch. I believe that the Saints would have gotten into the end zone regardless, but I did see the ball move on replay. Now the overturned INT? It was clearly an interception.
