The difficult thing about this game is that there are several great players who excel at their predictions week in and week out. Sadly, I'm not one of them. 
As a result sometimes I have to go waaaaaaay out on a limb to have a shot at actually moving up the list of front runners.
Like you, I love it when my desperation picks that favor the opponent are wrong.
I can only think of such picks as being a Win-Win situation when I have to resort to such foolishness!
