Saints get better of Pats at practice - Brady dejected!
Quote:
The biggest takeaway from the full-pads practice: The Saints owned it.
The Patriots’ offense was not sharp in drills when the teams faced each other. Quarterback Tom Brady was intercepted twice – once in 7-on-7 drills in the red zone (by linebacker Curtis Lofton), and another time in 11-on-11 work (by cornerback Malcolm Jenkins). At one point, after the offense stalled once again, Brady walked to the sideline dejectedly.

I'm happy we did well today, disappointed that Patrick got hurt, but keep things in context. It was simply a good practice session. We have much large aspirations this year. However, we did get a little better today.

I love our offensive philosophy and how it leads to such consistency.
We can run the ball effectively anywhere on the field in any situation, from powering up the middle to blazing around the edge. The Patriots can't and although they usually overcome it you can see frustration build when they suddenly can't throw it to one of their TE's every down.
Very impressive that Brady had some struggles with our top 3 corners sitting on the sidelines.

Brings back fond memories of when he walked off the field dejectedly in that Monday night game back in 2009.

The same Curtis Lofton that can't cover?

Glad the D did well against the Pats in practice. Let's hope that happens in the 1Q this week and many times against many QBs this season!

Jenkins' past couple practice sessions reminds me of Happy Gilmore... "Uh Oh... Somebody learned how to putt (catch)."
