It's called respect.
Obviously you guys aren't used to getting any.
Some of those posts are pretty bad... we do have some dummies on our board, but for the most part, we think we'll be lucky if we get a win in the Super Dome.
A lot of those posts are being taken out of context, but the Saints are getting much respect from the Texans' fans on Texanstalk.com
I can't speak for the guys at HoustonTexans.com

Congrats. Now can y'all stop or take it to the EE board? I came in this thread to read about the game, not read somebody trash my state that I love on MY favorite team's message board. If I really want to hear people talk crap about Louisiana, I will make sure to head over to Carolina Huddle or Falcons Life asap.

Louisiana does many things better than Texas. The fact that you think other wise is laughable.

Lived in Texas most of my life, moved to Louisiana 4 years ago. Sure, I miss my friends and family back in Texas, but I'm never moving back. The outdoor activities here are vastly superior to Texas. The food is a lot better as well. Now, what I do miss about Texas is that I can't find any people that want to play D&D. yeah, I'm a geek, what of it?
Now, can we get back to football?
I think the game will be close at half time, and the Saints will do what they did in the Second half with Chicago.

Should be an entertaining game. The Texans will be using this as a measuring stick, like they did in the preseason. We'll see how they respond when our boys punch them in the mouth.
Leadership is a big part of it when the wheels start falling off. That's why we, as Saints fans, are lucky. Because we have arguably the best leader in football in Drew Brees. So of course we're confident, because when you have a player like Brees, you're always in it.
I'm not sure the Texans have that. Shaub is a really good QB, but from everything I've read from Texans fans, he lacks leadership.
I guess we'll see. But I like our chances.

Don't know if Schaub lacks leadership. His leadership has rarely shown itself.... maybe a game like this is what we need to kickstart him.

It would break my heart if the final score is anything like that.
I understand that there are some fans on our board that are a little over zealous, but that's the way this sport is. Case in point, to think you're going to score 41 on the Texans... to think you're going to hold Houston to 24 points...
c'mon man.
keep it real.

Really?
Most of us complain that we don't show up until mid-way through the third Qtr.

We scored 30 points or more on two great defenses already. Nothing ya'll do on defense we haven't already seen. Especially the blitz cause Green Bay sent a lot of that our way in week 1 and we only gave up two sacks. This game is not a test for us. How can it be when we already faced the defending Super Bowl champs in week 1 and the defending NFC North champs in week 2. Whatever ya'll bring our way we'll be ready for it plus ya'll playing us in our stadium.

There's a big difference between 30 & 40.
I think it's more than possible, that both teams will score 30, but 40 ain't gonna happen for the Saints.

Do you really believe New Orleans scoring 41 on anyone would be "unreal" or shocking? Have you ever watched this offense?
You go from having the worst pass defense in the league last year to beating up on two of the worst teams in the league this season and suddenly your this confident there's no possible way Brees doesn't eat you alive?
Holding you guys to 24 would be the tougher task.

Seriously, 40 points is quite a milestone. Even last year when we laid down in the redzone, nobody scored 40 points on us.
I'm not disrespecting your team or Brees...... much respect.
I'm just saying, ain't gonna happen & yes I am very confident about that.
Heck, you might score 38, but you ain't scoring 40.

Maybe, maybe not.
We were 1 yard away from hanging 40 on GB, whose defense is better than yours and we were a fumble away from hanging 37 on the Bears whose defense is better than yours.
No way to know how the game will play out, it could be 27-24 type game, or it easily could be 42-35 type game. One thing I can say is, neither defense has "proven" they can hold either of these offenses under 40. To say it definitely won't happen on either side, is just wishful thinking.

In the past few years we've hit 40 points 10 times and 50 points once. Not sure how much of a milestone it is any longer for us.
In that same time span, you guys have scored 40 once and 50 none. A lot of people around the country and maybe in your household, think we have Offenses on the same caliber, but when it comes to putting the ball in the endzone, we're not that similar.
