This is only a preemptive strike against the many lawsuits that the NFL will be facing for lying to players about concussions and other safety issues for years. We play the scapegoat for a desperate play to try to show how tough the NFL is on safety. This played out perfectly for the slimeball Goodell as he could never get away with doing this to a New York or Dallas or Chicago.

I wouldn't be so angry if I weren't a paying customer to this league(season tickets). I would spit in Goodell's face if I saw him today. This takes the NFL down several notches for me as a product.

Probably some truth to that. You don't drop the atom bomb on berlin. But hiroshima .... well you can make an example to everyone else out of them.

Well I hope you wouldn't drop the bomb on Berlin since the war in Europe was over at that point.

I think that the most the punishment is for the Saints not stopping the program and telling the NFL that they had.
