(UNCONFIRMED RUMOR) Jimmy Graham out 3-6 weeks w/ high ankle sprain.
I just heard from a friend down in NOLA that he was told by someone with "inside" info, that Graham suffered a high ankle sprain and will miss anywhere from 3-6 weeks!
Please, please, please tell me this is B.S.! Is this team freakin cursed this season?!?!
I saw that Kromer isn't releasing any injury info until Wednesday, but I also heard that Graham was in a walking boot last Monday following the Chargers game.
I searched the web to see if there was anything, and there's nothing! I really hope this isn't true, but with how things are going, nothing would surprise me.
If anyone knows the deal, please update us.
I'm going to go throw up now.

I believe it. It didn't look like he turned his ankle in the traditional way so I was wondering if it messed something up higher on his leg. 3 weeks wouldn't be catastrophic, but 6 might.

The Saints Blocking will be getting better for 3-6 weeks, you say? :P.
Injuries happen. let's just hope it's not true; or if it is he'll be able to fully recover.

He went back out there and played...I don't think it was a high ankle sprain....but I guess we will have to wait and see.

Somebody has to know if this is true or not! We can't afford to lose Graham PERIOD! Our offense will start looking like our D. WTH is going on this year!

Your posts are normally overly pessimistic!
Try calming down for a change. Injuries happen, it's the NFL! We are 1-4 with Jimmy how can it get any worst?

Anyone notice how the Saints were actually looking like a better team when Brees wasn't throwing to Jimmy 24/7?

I played another game of basketball after a high ankle sprain. I woke up the next morning and could barely walk. 4 months later, it still bothers me.
I sure as hell hope Graham isn't out that long

Saints offense seemed to come to life after Drew wasn't allowed to force the ball to Jimmy every down, yes he's an important part of this offense but this offense is at its best when Drew is spreading the ball around, just sucks they could be without someone who's 6'7" around the goalline

Calm down! I don't think anyone here has any sort of information on whether this is true or not. It would have been posted. We'll have to wait til the Wednesday injury report. There hasn't been any reports of us working out any tight ends, so I really doubt that the rumor has any legs.
And if that really is the case, we'll have to make do. This offense has lost key players so many times before, and we've kept the train moving. If you want to worry about something offensively, worry about shoring up our pass protection and somehow getting in a groove with the run game. That's going to impact our season far more than whether we have Graham or not. Jimmy Graham is easily the best in the business, but we dominated before we had him too.

Jimmy was a huge part of winning 13 games last year. He's a huge mismatch for any team. He'd be sorely missed, but, to be positive, it's a great opportunity to see our other skill position players get some opportunities. Maybe Devery will get more looks? Still hoping that the report is inaccurate though.

Hopefully, we'll go back to basics and continue to feed Colston. With all the Graham-mania the past year or two, I almost forgot how amazing Colston is.

You're seriously trying to spin a Graham injury into a positive for our offense?? Seriously? There's nothing good about this if true... NOTHING!
