Don't confuse us with facts. Our minds are made up.

I think the best way to get back at Goodell is to win home field advantage and get to the Superbowl. If we get there this year, it's as good as ours. Our home field advantage this year will be tremendous.
I would love to see the look on Goodell's face the entire game as he realizes that he's going to have to hand the Lombardi over to us.

We consider the suspensions and fines handed down by Commissioner Goodell to be fair and just in this matter, and having followed the guidelines set forth by the CBA negotiated by the NFL and the NFLPA, we consider this matter closed. It is of the utmost importance that we maintain the integrity of the NFL and do what is best for the NFL, it's players, coaches, and management in promoting player safety. It is what we feel we've done in this case, and will continue to do in the future."

A safe bet with the lawsuits is that it'll drag on beyond this last sliver of Vilma's prime (some say he's past it anyway) and whatever Freeh says about the state of the team won't change the suspensions. The best thing for us to do now is what Tom Berenger said in the famous locker room scene in Major League. It would be the highlight of our lives to watch our own version of an "Al Davis Moment" as it relates to Mr. Goodell. To remind those young 'uns on here what I'm talking about, Davis' Raiders won two Super Bowls during and just after his drawn-out legal battle with the league to move his team to L.A.

Is Freeh investigating the bounty matter? I thought he was brought in to check into the Mickey Loomis wiretapping accusations.

If after investigating the Saints, what happens if Freeh claims the Saints and Coaches were largely not guilty of the accusations made by Goodell and the NFL?

Why does he have complete respect? Because he put in words what most people that actually know nothing about the case are thinking? This report was a waste of time and a lot of money? Did we really need an FBI director to tell is that there was a coverup?

Benson had no reason not to do this. Whatever the findings of the report he can use it to his advantage.
If there's no evidence of the pay-to-injure scheme, that's the best win for him.
If there is evidence (which everyone outside of Saints fans already believe anyway) he can say that he needed to know exactly what was going on so he could clean it up and make sure it never happens again.

Because he crucified the company that was paying him, Penn State. This says he will tell the facts as he finds them regardless of who signs his paycheck. Unlike the supposed "independent" expert the NFL hired who will write what the company that pays her wants her to say.
And he is the Ex-Director of the FBI.
