I think people would watch the Saints in the Superbowl...

Saints-Pats was the second-most watched cable telecast of all time. Interestingly enough, Packers-Vikings is #1.

Brees and Co. rarely fail to put on a great show during primetime. A Super Bowl co-featuring the Saints would be highly anticipated.

certainly nothing against Peyton Manning but I'm hoping the Saints and Jets win just to tick CBS off because they're wrong for saying that

What' this jagoff is not realizing is that the Saints are the World's team and the Superbowl is Worldwide not Nationwide.

Plenty of love throughout the world for the City that Care Forgot, one of the most culturally relevant and historic cities of all time.

CBS Sports hates the "arrogance" of Sean Payton.

I am sure Rex Ryan is probably not to far down that list as well.

This is the Superbowl.. the most gambled-on game of the year.

A Lions/Browns rematch would still draw 90 million.

Good point. How many people in Dusseldorf care a fig for Minneapolis? New Orleans is one of the few truly classic cities in the United States.

CBS sucks.

Mojomajik9 01-23-2010 11:06 PM

I don't know. It seems, at least to the people I talk to everyday, that everyone who is a football fan (but not a Minnesota fan) is sick to death of the Favre talk and really suffering from Favre over saturation from the media. Could be a backlash. I don't dislike Favre either, but man, I am sick of the media over covering his every move.

Well I can see why CBS wants the Jets to lose because the colts let the jets win but who know may backfire but with the wanting the saints losing thats just makes me angry I hate CBS

What gets me is the few times folks in the media address the disgust people have from this "all Favre, all the time," by basically saying that us simpletons in the public really don't know what we like and that we should all bow to Favre.

/I don't endorse murder per say, but there are quite a few people working in the sports media bidness that if they didn't wake up tomorrow, I might cheer.

“The matchup that will do the best is Indianapolis against Minnesota,” said former CBS Sports president Neal Pilson, who now runs his own consultancy firm.
Maybe there's a reason why he's the "former."

The article is a smoke screen, to mask the true evil behind CBS. The fact that the Saints and the colts were both undefeated for as long as they were almost guarantees near record viewership, as well as the fact that the vast majority of football fans nationwide are just dog tired of favre and his bolshevik.

No the real issue here is that all season long, CBS and its pundits have been anti Saints, and they need to save face somewhere along the line. The simple truth is, that they've disobeyed one of the basic tenets of journalism: Just report the news, don't try to create it. With Prisco and Freeman getting offended at Payton's "arrogance" merely proving my point.

The media hacks that have lost the respect of millions of sports fans are chomping at the bit for one last bit of salvation. If my theory is correct, according to them, "If the Saints win tomorrow, all is lost".

When we win, don't expect a single retracted word from the "entertainers formally known as journalists" Prisco and Freeman. They'll merely do their best to play it off like they wanted us to win and they had us pegged, but we needed motivation or some nonsense. Don't believe it.

Saints are gonna win in spite of these dutch bags, not because of them.

GEAUX SAINTS!!
